Who Can Wear Tape In Extensions?
Ohhhhh tape in extensions how we love thee!!! Why? Because, literally, ANYONE can wear them! Thin hair, thick hair, blonde hair, dark hair, you get the point! There are so many pros to wearing tape in extensions.
I choose to wear Easilengths by easihair pro and Quikkes by Hairdreams.
They both come in 12, 16 and 20 inches in length. The process can be done in as little as 45 minutes. Although they are similar, as far as technique, they do have their differences.
Easilengths are 2-inch panels and are very smooth but they hold a curl really well.
They can be worn for 6 weeks. After the 6 week period, our clients come in and we would do a removal and reapplication. Which means we would remove the extensions from the client’s hair and then remove the old adhesive from the panel and apply new adhesive to the panel. We can do 2 re applications on this hair and then the client would be due for new hair.
Quikkies are 1 1/2 inch panels and have a wavy s pattern. This hair is tapered through the ends. My clients usually wear Quikkies for 6-8 weeks. The removal and reapplication process is the same as Easilengths. These extensions can be reapplied 2 times.
Both systems are applied using a brick lay technique. Which will give you a natural, seamless end result. With this system, you would be able to wear your hair in a low pony tail or a low loose braid.
Several of my clients use tape-in extensions to achieve volume, not necessarily length. The panels are very thin and undetectable. This system works for all hair types.
These extensions are definitely my go to when I don’t have a lot of time and just need something quick and seamless. Mane Atelier offers free consultations.
