DIY Brazilian Blowout

I am obsessed with Brazilian Blowout, however, I don’t always have the time to sit for 2 hours for that service. Therefore I use a great alternative to their products. You too can achieve an at-home Brazilian Blowout by following these steps.

DIY Brazilian Blowout - Mane Atelier Hair Salon Dallas

In order to complete a DIY Brazilian Blowout at home, you will need the following at-home-care products.

  • Acai Anti-Frizz Shampoo
  • Acai Deep Conditioning Mask
  • Acai Protective Straightening Balm
  • Acai Dry Oil
  • Wide Tooth Comb
  • Plastic Shower Cap

You will first shampoo your hair thoroughly with the Acai Anti-frizz Shampoo. Depending on how dirty your hair is, you may have to shampoo more than once. The hair must be squeaky clean.
Note, you will not be using the Acai conditioner.

After shampooing, you will towel dry your hair until you feel your towel has soaked up most of the water. You will now apply the Acai Deep Conditioning Mask to your hair. Using a wide tooth comb to ensure that the conditioning mask is evenly distributed. Once that’s done you can twist your hair up and secure it with a clip. Place the processing cap on your head which is going to help create some natural heat.

Leave the deep conditioning mask on for at least 20 minutes. I have left it on for up to 40 minutes. Then you will rinse your conditioning mask out with lukewarm water. Towel dry your hair and before blow drying apply a pea size of the Acai Protective Straightening Balm and 1-2 pumps of the Acai Dry Oil to the palm of your hand and emulsify. This will be your heat protectant cocktail. Start from the back of your head to the front, applying product mid-shaft to ends. Now you are ready to blow dry. Use a boar bristle brush to distribute the product evenly from roots to ends.

That is all you need to do to accomplish smooth, frizz-free, shiny, beautiful hair. Our salon, Mane Atelier, carries all Brazilian Blowout products.
